The binding on the bottom is silver - I thought from the photo that it was white.
Nice oven mittsAug 15, 2010 I bought these to bring camping. We often cook over the fire with cast iron and using these mitts instead of pot holders made it so much easier and safer. It is nice that they go a ways up the arm and are fairly thick. Ten bucks for two - I'd recommend them.
